Silent Night 2023

Dog sleeping under the cover with words "Silent Night" next to it

Shelter life is stressful. Getting a good night's sleep in a real bed in a real home lowers stress levels and increases a pet's likelihood of finding a forever home.

That's why Kenton County Animal Services is launching a new short-term foster initiative called Silent Night. This holiday season we're asking you to open your home for just a short period of time to one of our shelter animals so that all our pets have the opportunity for a silent night.

Here's how it works

Those interested in fostering an animal just need to simply complete the application so we can pair participants with the Kenton County Animal Services pet best suited to their lifestyle. We want to set everyone up for success!

Fosters will pick up their pet between Dec. 18 and 22. We're asking pets stay with their fosters for two weeks, though the time of each stay can vary based on fosters' schedules.

All pets will be sent with food, a toy, a leash/collar or carrier and information on setting the pet up for success.

Interested in participating?

You can complete our application online now, and we'll reach out with more information once we've paired you with your KCAS pet.
