County Cleanup - Trash Drop-off Days

Fall Cleanup event is an opportunity for Kenton County Residents to dispose of unwanted trash, debris or bulky household items free of charge. Participants must have a valid Kenton County ID or some other proof of residency.
Businesses, including junk/construction debris removal or automotive, are prohibited. No large, enclosed trucks or trailers full of furniture and large item waste.
*Kenton County Public Works holds the right to refuse any and all items transported to Public Works for disposal.*
These are among the accepted Items:
- Appliances (FREON accepted with a $25 fee - No food waste inside)
- Yard debris
- Household trash
- Scrap metal
- Electronics (anything with a power cord, one TV per vehicle)
- Motor and Rechargeable batteries
- 20lb propane grill tank
- Tires - Up to (8) standard tires are free pre resident address
- Lawn equipment and power tools
All fluids (Oil/Gas) must be removed from equipment.
These items are NOT accepted: (Items can be accepted at the HHW event in Nov. Please call for more info.)
- Hazardous materials
- Pesticides
- Paint/Stains
- Liquid Waste
- Fire Extinguishers
- Large Tanks/Cylinders/ Oxygen tank
- Fluorescent Bulbs
- Regular batteries
- Oil and antifreeze
NOTE: These items will be accepted at our upcoming Household Hazardous Waste event on Saturday, Nov. 4, at Thomas More Stadium in Florence. Please visit www.nkyhhw.org to print and complete a registration form prior to attending that event. Items not accepted at HHW include:
- Shingles, drywall or construction debris
- Concrete, brick or dirt
- No junk vehicles (including boats), sheds or trailers
