Wild Wednesdays!

Discover the fascinating world of wildlife! From June 1 to August 10, join Kenton County Parks & Recreation (KCP&R) for their 22nd season of Wild Wednesdays! The free programs begin with a pre-program at 9:30 AM, the main program at 10:00 AM, a post-program at 11:00 AM, and lunch at 11:15 AM. They are held, rain or shine, at Middleton-Mills Park in Shelter House 2. 

All you need is a sense of wonder and KCP&R will take care of the rest. The programs are designed for everyone- don't miss a single adventure! There will also be free raffles for terrific donated prizes. 

2022 program dates are set:

June 1 – Lifestyles of the Sleek and Scaly with Kentucky Reptile Zoo

9:30 AM Pre-program: Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road
11:00 AM Post-program: Madison Pike Yoga 

June 8 – Raptors with Dr. Tom Sproat and Critters in the Classroom

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy

June 15 – Don’t Waste It! with Kenton County Solid Waste

9:30 AM Pre-program: NKCAC Head Start
11:00 AM Post-program: NKCAC Head Start 

June 22 – Barnyard Animals with Good Green Earth Farm

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Legacy Taekwondo Team

June 29 – Dirt on Water Pollution with Foundation for Ohio River Education

9:30 AM Pre-program: Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road
11:00 AM Post-program: Kenton County Parks & Recreation 

July 6 – African Skulls with Dr. Tom Sproat and Critters in the Classroom

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy 

July 13 – Slithering with Snakes with WAVE Foundation from the Newport Aquarium

9:30 AM Pre-program: NKCAC Head Start
11:00 AM Post-program: NKCAC Head Start

August 3 – Cool Critters with Cool Critters Outreach

9:30 AM Pre-program: Kenton County Public Library
11:00 AM Post-program: Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy  

August 10 – The Water Show (Wear Your Swimsuit!) with FamilyTime Entertainment

9:30 AM Pre-program: Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road
11:00 AM Post-program: Madison Pike Yoga 

About the Program: 

Lunches will be provided through the summer food service program for children in collaboration with Kenton County Schools. Adults can purchase lunch for $4. Nondiscrimination statement: This institution is an equal opportunity employer. Lunch is served at 11:15 AM. 

Wild Wednesdays! are free to attend and enjoy. Instead of money, KCP&R collects donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for Be Concerned. Your kind donations have helped way more than you know. Let’s keep giving! 

This program is in collaboration with our program partners and grants from Greater Cincinnati Foundation Summertime Kids and Cincinnati Children’s.
