Kenton County Parks & Recreation is hosting Didgeridoo Down Under on Tuesday, June 20th from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Middleton-Mills Park, located at 3415 Mills Rd., Covington, KY 41015.
The Didgeridoo Down Under Show is an energetic fusion of Australian music, comedy, character building, storytelling and audience movement/participation. The didgeridoo has been played Aboriginal Australians for at least 1500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound. You'll learn about Aussie animals, culture, unity and more ... all while moving and grooving to the pulsing rhythms of the didge. It's interactive, educational, motivational and super fun for all ages!
Rob Thomas is a didgeridoo pioneer in the U.S. He has been making and playing didgeridoos for almost 30 years; has performed throughout the country; has recorded several CDs; and has produced music for numerous films.
Rob tours nationwide, and performs at hundreds of venues annually, including schools, libraries, colleges and corporate events. Rob especially enjoys inspiring kids to become better global citizens through motivational messages about character building, environmentalism and literacy.
Instead of a registration fee, Kenton County Parks & Recreation collects donations of non-perishable food and personal care items for Be Concerned.
