This free program begins with a pre-program at 9:30 AM, the main program at 10:00 AM, a post-program at 11:00 AM, and lunch at 11:15 AM. There will also be free raffles of terrific donated prizes.
9:30 AM Pre-Program: Girl Scouts of Kentucky's Wilderness Road
10:00 AM Main Program: Dirt on Water Pollution with Foundation for Ohio River Foundation: If you gave the Ohio River a classroom grade for how clean it is, what would you give it? A? C? Maybe even F? Foundation for Ohio River Education will show you how scientists answer this question with real field equipment. But wait there’s more! Participants will learn about the incredible adaptations that fish have developed to survive in polluted waters by observing preserved specimens. It will be a FINtastic time!
11:00 AM Post-Program: Kenton County Parks & Recreation
11:15 AM Lunch: Lunches will be provided through the summer food service program for children in collaboration with Kenton County Schools. Adults can purchase lunch for $4. Nondiscrimination Statement: This institution is an equal opportunity employer.
Kona Ice will be attending for participants to purchase a cool snack from 11:30 AM – 12 PM!
