Kenton County Public Works and its office of Solid Waste Management will offer their annual Spring Clean-Up for Kenton County residents on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13. Proof of residency is required.
Residents will have access to two drop-off locations to bring their discarded items, including:
- Appliances (There is a $25 fee for Freon containing appliances.)
- Furniture
- Yard debris
- All Electronics (anything with a power cord, (1) TV per vehicle)
- Vehicle and rechargeable batteries
- 20lb. propane (grill tank)
- All fluids (Oil/Gas) MUST be removed from lawn equipment.
- Scrap metal
- Tires are accepted (10 max) per residential address
Items NOT accepted at this event include:
- Hazardous materials
- Pesticides
- Paint/Stains
- Liquid waste
- Fire extinguishers
- Tanks/cylinders
- Oil and antifreeze
- Fluorescent Bulbs
- Shingles
- Concrete, Brick, or Dirt.
- Junk vehicles (including boats)

- Kenton County Public Works, located at 420 Independence Station Road, Independence 41051

- Piner Elementary, located at 2845 Piner Ridge Road, Morning View 41063
- Tires and appliances are NOT accepted here.
