Our County’s operating principle has always been clear: to serve the people of Kenton County with integrity and purpose. That value is reflected in every department, from the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management to Public Works, Animal Services and beyond. Our team works every day to make Kenton County a great place to live, work and raise  a family.

Fiscal responsibility is the backbone that supports everything we do. Over the last several years, we have taken a conservative but productive approach to budgeting. Our financial team continues to ensure we are living within our means while also planning for the future. We are investing in infrastructure improvements, technology upgrades and capital projects that enhance the quality of life across the County—all without compromising our long-term  financial health.

Thanks to careful management, we’ve maintained a strong bond rating, allowing us to secure favorable financing when needed for critical projects, including the creation of what will be our flagship County park in Independence. We continue to balance providing excellent services with responsible spending. We are making smart investments today that will benefit our community for years  to come.

But strong finances are only a piece of the story. What truly sets Kenton County apart is the dedication of our employees and the partnerships we’ve built across cities, schools, nonprofits and local businesses.

Whether it's our dispatchers handling emergency calls with precision and care or the Public Works crews keeping roads safe and clear, our employees give their all to serve our residents.

We’ve modernized many internal systems to improve efficiency and responsiveness, launched initiatives to expand access to mental health and addiction resources and supported local economic development efforts to attract new jobs and investment. These projects don’t just check a box — they make a real, lasting impact on people’s lives.

We know that local government works best when it is connected to the people it serves. That’s why we remain committed to responsiveness and accessibility. We encourage residents to stay engaged, whether that means attending a Fiscal Court meeting or simply reaching out with a question or concern. Your voice matters, and it helps guide our decision-making  every day.

As we look ahead, I remain confident in Kenton County’s future. We will continue to protect our strong financial footing while delivering the high-quality services our residents expect and deserve.

We will keep building partnerships that strengthen our communities and look for innovative ways to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Thank you for the trust you place in us. It is a privilege to serve as your Judge/Executive, and I look forward to continuing this work together.
