The Kenton County Fiscal Court has enacted legislation which will exempt any business entities engaged in franchises, trades, occupations, professions and other businesses in the county from paying the county portion of the net profit occupational license tax (fee) for taxable year ending Jan. 1, 2024 or after. Even though exempt from paying the Kenton County portion of the tax, business entities are still required to prepare and submit annual net profit schedules and forms as instructed here. Please note, this change only impacts the Kenton County portion of the annual tax occupational license tax (fee).
This change is effective to the taxable year ending Jan. 1, 2024 and all fiscal year ends thereafter.
